EXCLUSIVE
ABC health expert Dr Norman Swan has married for the third time, to a glamorous colleague at the public broadcaster who is 24 years his junior.
Dr Swan, 70, who was known as the 'King of Covid' for his sometimes controversial public health interventions during the pandemic, tied the knot with Radio National producer Katie Hamann, 46, on the Greek island of Hydra last weekend.
Their nuptials were revealed by recently retired Late Night Live host Phillip Adams, who shared a picture of the happily married couple on social media.
Ms Hamann, who was pictured clutching a bouquet of roses, opted for a simple sleeveless white full-length dress with a high neckline and a single bangle around her left forearm.
Her new husband, who wore a relaxed cream linen suit and an open-necked shirt, held his arm around her waist as they both grinned for the cameras at an indoor venue.
'The good Dr Swan - aka the King of Covid - persuaded me to join LNL (Late Night Live) 33 years ago,' Mr Adams wrote on X on Wednesday night.
'Congrats on your marriage Norman.'

Mr Adams' tweet was inundated with messages from wellwishers for the happy couple.
It's understood that family and friends flew in from around the world to attend the ceremony on the picturesque, car-free island in the Aegean Sea off the southern tip of Greece.
It's unclear when the pair met, although it is understood they first crossed paths in a professional capacity.
In the Australian summer of 2019-20, Dr Swan filled in as a host on Radio National (RN) Breakfast.
On January 7, 2020, he reportedly emailed Ms Hamann, who was producing the show, about a mysterious illness emerging out of Wuhan in China.
'Worth keeping an eye on,' was the subject line.
Dr Swan's early intuition would, in a matter of months, propel him to become one of the most familiar faces on Australian television screens as the Covid-19 pandemic swept across the globe.

But his newfound stardom was not without controversy.
He was often accused of fear-mongering due to his strong support for mask mandates and lockdowns.
Dr Swan has not treated patients since he joined the ABC in 1982, but continues to hold a licence because his media work counts as medical practice.
Ms Hamann, who is originally from Taree on NSW mid north coast, is understood to be the mother of two children from a previous relationship.
She has worked on and off for the ABC since 2011,eventually rising to the role of executive producer for RN, where she booked her future husband to appear on several occasions.

Ms Hamann was credited with producing a RN Drive show in September 2023 where Dr Swan discussed how 14 per cent of people in Australia suffered ongoing symptoms after contracting Covid-19.
Ms Hamann's mother is understood to be younger than Dr Swan.
And, unlike her new husband, Ms Hamann's father is a practicing doctor, working as a consultant dermatologistbased in Port Macquarie on the NSW mid north coast.
Ms Hamann's father has posted a series of photos on Instagram of his travels in theMediterranean in recent days, including a stunning view of a rainbow in Hydra six days ago.
In the acknowledgements to Dr Swan's 2021 book 'So You Think You Know What’s Good For You?’, he paid tribute to his future wife.
‘Katie Hamann put up with me during a tough year and also read the draft, which is always a risky thing, but Katie’s skills as a producer and editor supervened,’ he wrote.
Dr Swan previously admitted to being 'mildly embarrassed' about being a two-time divorcee.
'It's mildly embarrassing to have been married (and divorced) twice,' he told the Sydney Morning Herald in 2022.
'I've heard men complain about the women in their lives as the reason they've been married more than once, when 50 per cent or more of the reason is us, the men.'

The Scottish-born physician originally wanted to be an actor before he pursued a career in medicine.
He moved to Australia aged 25 to continue his paediatrics training and in 1982 became a health reporter at the ABC and later became the general manager of Radio National.
While there he hired Geraldine Doogue, who went on to become one of Australia's best know journalists and broadcasters. They are still very close friends.
Dr Swan won a Gold Walkley in 1988 for an investigation that exposed fraudulent research by gynaecologist William McBride, leading to this disgraced doctor being banned from practicing.
When he met his first wife, Lee Sutton, a fellow paediatric doctor, he said he soon 'recognised she would make an incredible mother, which she has been to our children Anna, Georgia and Jonathan'.
Jonathan is a globe-trotting journalist, whose 2020 viral interview with then-President Donald Trump earned him an Emmy Award.
Jonathan now works as a political reporter for the New York Times.
In 2016, Dr Swan's daughter Anna suffered a traumatic brain injury in a horrific bike accident during a family holiday in Italy.
It was reported that the trauma of the accident contributed to the breakdown of Dr Swan's second marriage to Perth woman Karen Carey.

The ABC used Dr Swan throughout the pandemic as their go-to analyst and he went on to host a weekly Coronacast podcast dedicated to covering Covid matters for three years.
However, he was caught out making blunders along the way.
He was forced to apologise after claiming in 2022 that Labor senator Kimberley Kitching's death by a suspected a heart attack was likely to be Covid-related.
The Senator, who was 52 when she died, never contracted Covid according to her furious family.
The ABC admitted Dr Swan's remarks breached its editorial standards and cautioned him during discussions with the broadcaster's management.
Dr Swan was last year controversially made a made a member of the Order of Australia for'for significant service to the broadcast media as a science and health commentator'.
Dr Swan and Ms Hamann have been approached for comment.
